Danger Inc. was a Java licensee who developed the HipTop (aka TMobile Sidekick)
series of mobile devices. Eventually, Danger was bought by Microsoft, and then
quietly killed. The Danger OS and apps were written in Java, but Danger didn't
develop or use Android on their devices.
TMobile did reuse the Sidekick
name from the Danger OS devices for a later
Android-based phone derived from
the Samsung Galaxy S (see Wikipedia) but none of
the Danger-developed devices used Android, and AFAIK Danger had nothing to
do
with its development. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
