You got it all wrong!!! :-)
On a REAL calculator that use RPN (Reverse Polish Notation) to add 5 & 6 you
hit the following keys:
5
ENTER
6
+
It is a bit silly to tell a calculator to add before you give it at least 2
numbers!
For something that trivial, algebraic and RPN calculators are equally efficient;
but for any more complicated situations, the RPN style tends to be a lot easier
- having used both types.

The point is that people already expect a calculator to work that way, just as
programmers expect to find the target of an assignment on the left side of an
equation (cobol (calc), fortran, pascal, c, c++, even java. )
Typing 2 +2 = 4 is not novel, the order of operations can't be protected by
