Hi PJ - I'm unable to find any real documentation on a "design-only"
Java
class/bean.
My guess this refers to the ability to publish additional settings to a GUI
builder environment. (I would appreciate any clarification.)
I should also note it's possible to separate interface from implementation
using RMI or other remote procedure calls to a foreign system.
However, if you have a compiled Java class binary, you can see exactly what's
in it. (This is why there's a small market for obsucurfaction tools which
scramble the class metadata.)
[apologies about the weird linebreaks - I'm on Chrome/Mac if it helps.][ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Most of the best-known Java libraries (such as Java SE, at issue in this case)
don't have any design-only classes; this seems to be a peculiarity of JavaBeans.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
