Yes. But I'm afraid you get the forest wrong, though the trees right. In the
current system:

* A "programmer" IS a layman. Like everybody else.

* The ONLY Priests are Lawyers. They're the only ones "versed in the
art" (whatever the art) and allowed to dictate what they don't understand.

How otherwise can you explain the current mess in the patent system? (and the
attitude of many a lawyer too; the majority are good ones but this circus we're
watching evidences the ones who should be weeded out rather than rewarded with
beelions)
