<< Regarding the political spectrum of their member base -
let's just say that right now they look like the perfect
trojan horse for right wing >>
How can anyone possibly know that? Actually at this time
nobody fully understands the phenomena of the Pirates
success, of them going to 13% so fast. They are young smart
voters who understand the issues with new technologies and
media. Furthermore they are going squarely up against RIAA,
GEMA, MPAA and the rest of exploiter organisations. They
intend to give more rights back to the authors and
significantly less rights to the exploiting associations
and thats definately a good thing.
As far as "right wing" goes... give me a break all you need
to do is take a look at home; for nearly the last 10 years
the U.S. have spearheaded right wing politics, and actually
that goes way back, just think about what was really going
in the years before, during and after Watergate. "Follow the
money", seems like timeless advice.
