The important question is "why", not "when".
We can guess, and we have been speculating over
it here on Groklaw, but only Oracle knows for sure.

The standard practice when you get sued is to counter sue.
Google has not counter sued and if I were Oracle then I'd be
very worried about that. It can be something similar to a
good actor that pauses before a punch line to make it sound.
Google has enough money to have a team working on a new
lawsuit. This new lawsuit will be delivered *after* Oracle
will lose this trial. In the meantime Google sits on all
the patents it purchased looking for a couple of patents
