SCO's 3Q Financial Results and Conference Call 9/6
Wednesday, August 30 2006 @ 08:21 AM EDT

SCO has announced the date for their third quarter financial results and the usual conference call to tell us all about it. It's on September 6, 2006, after the market closes. Let me see. I imagine it will go something like this: "We won't answer any questions about the litigation, but we look forward to having our case heard in court. If it weren't for the litigation draining our blood, we'd be making a living. Sorta."

Just a guess. While you're waiting breathlessly, you might visit Computer Business Review. They have Part II up now, with their complete list of Open Source VIPs. Part I is here. Matthew Aslett, the editor, says: "Everyone is welcome to tell us how completely wrong the list is and make polite suggestions as to who should be on it instead here." If I ever do a list of the 20 VIPs of the media with the best sense of humor, Matt will be on it. Bob Sutor provided an interesting supplemental list.

Or here's some fun, the August 16, 2006 LinuxWorld panel discussion, Celebrating 20 Years of Linux with moderator Larry Augustin and panelists Eric Raymond; Jon maddog Hall, Linux International; Chris DiBona, Google, Inc.; Dirk Hohndel, Intel.

Here's the SCO press release:

Maybe they'll tell us where Tim Negris is. I hope he didn't get sucked into the MIT deep divers' black hole. You never show up again, once that happens.
