Ballmer Cartoon by Howard Tayler
Saturday, December 04 2004 @ 03:58 AM EST

Howard Tayler read my article on Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer threatening Asia over using Linux, "Ballmer: Use Our Software or Somebody Might Get Hurt," and he responded with this cartoon, which he sent me to share with you. Enjoy. For those having trouble seeing it, you can see his work here and this cartoon here.

Authored by: fudisbad on Saturday, December 04 2004 @ 04:28 AM EST
Main posts in this thread may only be made by senior managers or attorneys for
"The SCO Group". Main posts must use the name and position of the
poster at "The SCO Group". Main posters must post in their official
capacity at "The SCO Group".

Sub-posts will also be allowed from non-"The SCO Group" employees or
attorneys. Sub-posts from persons not connected with "The SCO Group"
must be very polite, address other posters and the main poster with the
honorific "Mr." or "Mrs." or "Ms.", as
appropriate, use correct surnames, not call names or suggest or imply unethical
or illegal conduct by "The SCO Group" or its employees or attorneys.

This thread requires an extremely high standard of conduct and even slightly
marginal posts will be deleted.

PJ says you must be on your very best behavior.

That rendition of Ballmer bears a passing resemblance to
Homer Simpson.

I just see the place holder on the main page. When I try to view the image
(right click menu in Firefox), it gives me a Groklaw page with this error (cut
& paste):

404 Error

I dont know if this helps, but: When I enter the url: http://www.groklaw.net/images/ I get an ndex view of the folder, then clicking on 'articles' gives me an empty HTML. Maybe the rights for the '/images/articles' directory have to be changed.

The link is too deep, try this...
Authored by: DocTechnical on Saturday, December 04 2004 @ 10:37 AM EST
As others have already noted, the image link looks like this:

http://www.groklaw.net/images/articles/20041204035840375_1.jpg

And that doesn't work. Now, I always keep my images in my /images directory, so I wondered (following Occam's Razor) if the link might actually be:

http://www.groklaw .net/images/20041204035840375_1.jpg

This works for me, does it work for anyone else?
